Life has it's crazy times

It is hard to start when there are so many things to start with. I have been ignoring this blog simply because my brain has been on overload for the past 3 months.

I guess I will start with the obvious, Nick and I are expecting a little bundle of joy to arrive sometime around August 24th. That makes me 18 weeks along. All in all I have complained to Nick a lot about my trials of pregnancy but the reality is, it has gone pretty smooth. The 3 months of nausea (all day not just mornings) is pretty normal and the extreme fatigue is also normal, so that is nothing new to update on. I would say my biggest problem has been my lower back and hips. I have always had upper back and neck issues, but my lower back has always been good to me. But about 4 weeks into this pregnancy I could barely walk. It turns out that all these new hormones have moved my hips around and my Sciatic Nerve was not a happy camper. Many many visits to the Chiropractor and Massage Therapist have helped tremendously, but they have both told me that they are just trying to keep up with it. I think the worst part was that I couldn't exercise. So in a measly 4.5 months of really slow walks with the dog, and not much else, I have lost all muscle tone and am out of breath walking up my own stairs. Luckily, I am feeling much better these days so hopefully my weak attempt at lifting weights again will help in some way. It's worth a try!

Another reason I have not kept up on this blog is that Nick had his Gallbladder removed in January. I think just the stress of feeling like you have the flu and trying to take care of your spouse was tough. It was a very successful surgery and you would never know except for the 5 small scars on his belly that it ever happened.

Also, right around the same time that Nick had his surgery, someone made an offer on our house! Whoo Hoo! So we had to move just after. Luckily, we have wonderful friends that stepped up to the plate and moved us in one day. I was not a whole lotta help though, since I was limping around and the dr. told me I couldn't lift more than 20 lbs. Just what you want to hear when you have to move an entire house.

So hear we are, in a new house (new to us), and me without a job (its a good thing, more on that later). Since I will have more time on my hands I will post more often, and hopefully get a few pictures in of the new place as well. And yes, pictures of the belly, I haven't actually taken any yet, is that bad???
